MAC Group Testimonial
G-Mack were awarded a contract by United Drug in December 2018 to supply a turnkey solution which involved providing 16,000 pallet locations, 750 shelf picking locations, an automated conveyor for supply chain operation and a full height rigid mesh enclosure for aerosol storage. The projected duration of the contract was four months commencing in early March 2019 and would involve intensive coordination between various site contractors including G-Mack and  sprinkler, lighting and aircon companies all endeavouring to work in tandem on site with the main contractor Mac Group to ensure tight schedules were met.

The racking system measures 11.0m high with levels fitted with mesh deck panels and subsequently fitted with a new labelling system by G-Mack. Rack protection was fitted at all perimeter ends and all aisles were line marked, also by G-Mack. The conveyor system has five cross over stairways and a protective barrier throughout. The forklift aisles are designed for usage by man up VNA trucks running on a central electronic wire with a 6.0m turning radius at rack ends. The 14.0m high mesh enclosure was fitted with sliding gates high enough to allow access by the VNA trucks.

The project was awarded to G-Mack on the basis of their extensive experience in high bay projects of this nature with many high profile clients over twenty years including PRL Logistics, Musgraves, Irish Distillers, SSL Logistics and many more. Their staff are all highly skilled and suitably trained with all relevant and appropriate certification as required. United Drug were delighted to have the complex installation completed on schedule by G-Mack and now operate an extremely busy and efficient logistics centre.
